| Abstract | 「はじめに」 摂食障害は単なる精神疾患や身体疾患ではなく, 人生や生活に深く関わる病気であり, 治療は主に栄養療法, 心理療法, 薬物療法を症状に応じて組み合わせて施行されることが多い. 低栄養・低体重による身体合併症は低血圧や徐脈, 電解質異常, 骨粗鬆症, 肝機能障害や腎機能障害, 汎血球減少, 消化管機能の低下など多岐にわたり, 重篤である場合は一刻も早く栄養療法を行わなければ命に関わることもある. さらに, これらほぼ全ての症状に対し, 最も有効で根元的な治療法は, 栄養改善や体重回復であり, 栄養療法は非常に重要な役割を担っている. 現代医療では, 経管栄養や中心静脈栄養など, 患者が経口摂取を拒否したとしても, 栄養を補充する方法がいくつかあるため, 低栄養を改善するのは一見容易に見える. しかし, 低栄養状態の患者に対し栄養や体重の回復を図る際には, 再栄養症候群という医学的合併症があり, 正しい知識の下細心の注意を払って治療を行わなければ, 不整脈や心不全, 痙攣, 横紋筋融解症など致死的な症状を併発することもまれではない. |
