| Abstract | 「ABSTRACT」帯状疱疹は水痘と同じ水痘・帯状疱疹ウイルス(VZV)により発症する. 予防接種の普及に伴う水痘の罹患率の低下により, VZVに対する細胞性免疫のブースター(追加免疫)効果を得られにくくなり, 帯状疱疹に罹患する患者が高齢者を中心に増加している. 高齢者の帯状疱疹では, 激しい痛みを訴える帯状疱疹関連痛によるQOLの低下が問題となり, 適切な治療とともに予防が重要となる. わが国においても使用可能となった帯状疱疹ワクチンは, その発症を予防するのみならず, 発症後の症状増悪(特に神経障害性痛への移行)の予防にも有効であることが示されている. これらのことを考慮し, 今後は, 発症リスクを有する患者での帯状疱疹ワクチンの接種が推奨される. |
