Abstract 「抄録」せん妄は, 予後に影響するために医療全体における課題のひとつである. 早期発見と早期治療が治療効果を上げる. 診断には, スクリーニング用評価尺度が有用である. 治療には, せん妄の原因検索がまず必要である. 治療効果の判定, 予後の予測には, せん妄の重症度評価が有用であり, 重症度を評価する尺度が利用できる. せん妄の症候学的・生物学的研究の進展は, せん妄の予防法の確立と生命予後の改善につながることが期待される.
