Abstract | 「抄録」 口腔機能の『軽微な衰え』が重複しているが, 改善も可能な状態としてオーラルフレイルがある. オーラルフレイルにつながる現在歯数の減少や咀嚼機能の低下といった口腔機能の低下は, 認知機能の低下ひいては認知症発症の遠因となる可能性が報告されている. そのため, 適切な歯科治療により口腔機能を維持向上させることが, 認知機能障害へ対応するうえで重要であると考えられる. 本稿では, オーラルフレイルと認知機能障害の関連についての近年の研究報告を整理し, 現在考察されているオーラルフレイルから認知機能障害につながる経路を紹介したい. |
