Abstract 「はじめに」抗うつ薬という名前はいまでこそ広く世間に知られていますが, 私が小さい頃(昭和)はこれほど知られてはいなかったと思います. そもそも精神科や発達障害などが大した話題になっていなかったのではないでしょうか. 令和の現代では, 街にメンタルクリニックがあふれ, 精神科への敷居は以前より低くなっているかもしれません. 実際, わが国の抗うつ薬の処方数は増加の一途をたどっています. 児童精神科臨床において, 抗うつ薬はまずうつ病に使われるとともに, 強迫性障害(obsessive compulsive disorder;OCD)を含めた不安障害でも使われます. しかし, よく聞かれることではありますが, 子どものうつ病は存在するのでしょうか. 海外の文献によれば, 推定有病率は5〜10歳で約0〜3%, 11〜16歳で2〜7%, 17〜19歳で4〜8%とされています.
