| Abstract | 「最近話題になっているRSウイルスって, どんなウイルスですか?」RSウイルス(respiratory syncytial virus)は成人や健康な小児において, いわゆる「風邪」の原因となる呼吸器ウイルスの一つです. 1歳未満の乳児期に初感染すると, 急性細気管支炎に進展し, 入院加療を要することが多いです. 慢性の心肺疾患を有する方, 免疫力の弱い方, 高齢者の方も, 重症化のリスクが高いといわれています. 「風邪ウイルスの一つということですが, 怖いウイルスでもあるのですね. 日常生活で簡単に感染してしまうのですか?」呼吸器ウイルスなので, 咳やくしゃみなどのしぶきに含まれるウイルスを吸い込んで飛沫感染します. さらに, RSウイルスは環境の表面で数時間, ヒトの手で30分以上生存するので, 感染者の手や, 感染者が触ったところを介して容易に接触感染してしまいます. 実際に, 2歳までにほとんどの小児は, RSウイルス感染症に罹患するといわれていて, 一度罹患しても終生免疫を獲得しないので一生のうちに何度も罹患してしまいます. |
