Abstract 「Point」●変形性膝関節症(osteoarthritis of the knee;膝OA)治療の第一選択は運動療法であるが, 膝OA患者に継続してもらうにはシンプルで効果的な運動でなくてはならない. ●膝OAに対する代表的なエクササイズとして大腿四頭筋セッティングがあるが, その効果を最大限に得るためには, 膝関節伸展制限の解消や大腿四頭筋の完全収縮が必要である. ●筆者らは, 伸展制限を改善させる目的で後内側関節包リリース(postero-lateral capsular release, release between capsule and semimembranosus;CSM)を, 大腿四頭筋の完全収縮を得るためにエコーを用いたビジュアル・フィードバックを実施している.
