Abstract 「要旨」近年, 急性期リハビリテーション医療の有効性が示されており, 急性期病院では重症患者を含め, 発症早期からの離床を中心としたリハビリテーション治療の機会が増えている. そのため, ICUのリハビリテーション診療における安全管理が求められている. 筆者らは意識障害を伴う人工呼吸器管理下であっても, 呼吸・循環動態の安定化を確認できれば骨折などで脊椎や下肢骨格が荷重に耐えられない場合などや, 明らかに頭蓋内圧が亢進しているような状態を除き, 座位・立位を開始する. 覚醒している患者では介助歩行を行う. 特に, 人工呼吸器管理中の患者に焦点をあてて, ICUで行うリハビリテーション治療の安全管理に配慮した具体的な急性期リハビリテーション診療の進め方を述べる.
