| Abstract | 「抄録」本研究の目的は, 高齢の夫が中等度から重度の認知症の妻を介護するなかで, 直面する介護課題とその克服プロセスを明らかにすることである. 認知症の妻を3年以上介護している60歳以上の夫に半構成的面接をして, 修正版グランデットセオリーにて分析した. その結果, 【進行に伴う介護困難と孤独感】の課題があり, 【外部アクセスによる支援活用】【仕事のように介護をマネジメント】にて対処していた. さらに【妻の尊厳を支え安寧をもたらす】ことを目指し, 【介護スキルの習得】や【妻のよき介護者になるための自分づくり】をして克服していた. 認知症になった妻との過去の関係を維持しつつ【新たな夫婦の意味づけ】をする一方, 【在宅介護の限界に関する不安】を両価的に持ち合わせていた. |

| Abstract | This study aims to elucidate the problems facing husbands who take care of wives with dementia in the mid-term of caring, and the process to overcome problems. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 husband caregivers aged 60 or older who had taken care of wives with dementia for 3 years or longer. The interview data were analyzed based on a modified grounded theory approach. The analysis showed that husbands coped with problems of [Difficulty in caregiving and loneliness associated with the progress of the illness] by [Utilizing support through external access] and [Managing care tasks as work]. Further, they overcame the problems by [acquiring caregiving skills] and [Turning themselves into good caregivers for their wives], aiming to [Support the dignity of their wives and bringing them peace]. In the process of becoming better caregivers, husbands took full responsibility for the care of wives in their role as husbands, acquired the skills necessary for caregiving, managed caregiving tasks by making good use of work experience, and interacted with others. Also after wives developed dementia and when the relationship between the spouses was changed from 'mutual support' to 'one way support', husbands [Assessed implications of their new relationship conditions] maintaining the former relationship with the wife, and all husbands felt [Anxiety about the limits of caregiving]. |
