Abstract	「要旨」 現在, 我が国は高齢化の進展に伴い, 認知症有病者数が増え続けている. 認知症の治療の1つである動物介在療法は, エビデンスが十分に得られていないため有用性は不明瞭である. 本研究は, 認知症高齢者に対する動物介在療法の有用性を明らかにすることを目的とする. 医中誌WebとJ-STAGEを用いて, 「認知症」and「動物介在療法orアニマルセラピー」をキーワードとして検索し, そのうち本研究目的に沿う7件を対象文献とした. 認知症高齢者に対する動物介在療法の有用性に関する記述を抜き出し, カテゴリー化した. 分析の結果, 『感情の表出』, 『情緒の安定』, 『集中力の向上』, 『睡眠・覚醒状態の改善』, 『活動性の向上とそれに伴う残存機能の保持』, 『社会的交流の増加』, 『興味関心の増加』, 『認知機能への影響』の8つのカテゴリーが抽出され, 認知症高齢者に対する非薬物療法の1つとして動物介在療法を行うことの有用性が示唆された.

Abstract	[Abstract] Currently, the prevalence of dementia in Japan continues to increase with the aging of the population. The usefulness of animal-assisted therapy, one of the treatments for dementia, is unclear because the evidence is not yet fully obtained. This study aims to clarify the usefulness of animal-assisted therapy for the elderly with dementia. Using the ICHUSHI-Web and J-STAGE, we searched for the keywords "dementia" and "animal-assisted therapy or animal therapy," and selected seven references that met the objectives of this study. Descriptions of the usefulness of animal-assisted therapy for the older adults with dementia were extracted and categorized. As a result of the analysis, eight categories were extracted: "Expression of emotion," "Emotional stability," "Improvement of concentration," "Improvement of sleep and wakefulness," "Improvement of activity and maintenance of residual functions," "Increase in social interaction," "Increase in interest," and "Effect on cognitive function. The results suggest the usefulness of animal-assisted therapy as a form of non-drug therapy for older adults with dementia.
