Abstract [Abstract] This study aimed to clarify nurses' perceptions of nursing care that leads to calm end-of-life patients with cancer. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 10 nurses involved in the care of end-of-life patients with cancer. A qualitative descriptive analysis was performed. We extracted the following five core categories of nurses' perceptions of nursing care leading to calm to end-of-life patients with cancer: "keep respecting and supporting the patient's way of life, " "respond predictably to avoid shaking the patient, " "provide peace to patients by strengthening the mutuality between patient and their family, " "relate patients to feel a close connection with others, " and "support patients to be at comfort. " Nurses consciously provide care to help end-of-life patients with cancer live in a supportive environment and spend as much time as possible with their significant others, including family members. This nursing care does not imply that a single intervention is sufficient; rather, it must be delivered in a complex and continuous manner, tailored to the patient's condition. Furthermore, nurses should ask patients about their sense of calmness and provide opportunities for them to discuss it, as this may also constitute a form of nursing care that contributes to patient calmness.
