Abstract Children diagnosed with COVID-19 were recently reported to have fever, bilateral conjunctival hyperemia, lip/oral changes, cervical lymphadenopathy, limb changes and polymorphic rash such as Kawasaki disease (KD) or hyperinflammatory syndrome. As a result, the relationship between COVID-19 and KD has attracted attention worldwide. Therefore, in this article, I summarized the laboratory values and clinical features from reports on COVID-19 infection and KD reported to date. Although there are many reports from Europe and the United States, there are few similar reports from East Asian countries such as Japan. The actual situation in Japan is still under observation, but considering the proposal from the Japanese Society of Kawasaki Disease, there may be a large difference between East Asian and Western countries.
