| Abstract | 「POINT」(1)RSウイルス感染症は2歳までに100%の児が罹患する (2)本邦での2歳未満の報告では, 本症で入院した児の40%が6ヵ月未満であり, 90%は重症化リスクを有していない (3)ハイリスク児へ重症化抑制に単クローン抗体が接種されるが, 本症に特異的な治療法はなく, 支持療法が基本である (4)普通感冒症状で始まるが, 集中治療を要する症例もあり, 特に乳児では注意深い観察と高次医療機関への紹介の見極めが大切である (5)新たな抗体医薬品, ワクチン開発が期待される 「RSウイルスの特徴」RSウイルスは乳幼児の下気道炎の代表的な病因の1つである. 1957年に小児科医のChanockらがクループの患児から初めて分離した, パラミクソウイルス科ニューモウイルス属のエンベロープをもつマイナス1本鎖のRNAウイルスであり, 培養細胞に特徴的な合胞体(syncytium)を形成するため, Respiratory Syncytial Virus(RSV)と命名された. |
