| Abstract | 「1. 背景」近年の子供たちを取り巻く遊びの環境を見てみると, 塾通いやテレビゲームの普及などによって「時間」が減り, 都会の密集などで空き地などの「空間」が減り, さらに, 少子化によって「仲間」が減少している. これらは, 3つの間(ま)をとりサンマと呼ばれ, 外遊びに重要な要素とされている. かつては, 学校が終わると空き地や公園に子供たちが自然に集まり, コマ回しやメンコ, 木登り, 缶蹴りなどに興じる姿を目にしたが, 現代ではこうした外遊びもほとんど見られなくなったようである. 今, 振り返ってみると, 外遊びにはスポーツに関わる基本動作が集約されていたとも考えられる. たとえば, コマ回しやメンコはボール投げにおける腕振り(腕のしなり)の基本的な動作であり, 木登りは危険察知能力や上半身, 下半身の連動性が必要とされる. |
