Established in 2000, Meteo Inc., as a leading provider of Japanese medical information, has been operating Medical*Online. The database was launched in 2001 and serves 800,000 end-users in Japan. In 2014, a multi-language mechanical translation function (English, Chinese & Korean) was built into its version, Medical*Online-E, to enable medical professionals around the globe to discover medical resources which had been largely untapped outside Japan.
